Osborn

Bio

Chloe Osborn had fostered a passion for sports at a very young age. However, at just 12 years old, Osborn was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare cancer that was found in her spine.

She had surgery to remove the cancer, which left her with nerve damage and a spinal injury. Due to her injury, Osborn could no longer play any contact or impact sports, so she decided to pursue swimming to stay active.

She started swimming only once or twice a week at the Hawkesbury Oasis and moved up to swimming four times a week after joining the Y NSW squad.

When she was 15, Chloe entered her first competition. In 2020, Chloe won bronze in the 100m freestyle at the 2020 National Multiclass Championships.

She added more medals to her portfolio after winning gold in the S7 400m freestyle and 100m freestyle at the Australian Age Championships in 2024.

Osborn’s success granted her a position on the Australian 2024 Paris Paralympic team, where she made her international debut. She had a successful campaign, snagging a silver medal in the Mixed 4x100m freestyle relay 34 points with teammates Alexa Leary, Rowan Crothers and Callum Simpson.
