Swimming is a long-standing part of the Australian way of life, and Swimming Australia is committed to supporting opportunities for people with disability to find their pace in the water.

Swimming is one of the largest participated sports for people with disability in Australia and remains the most popular Paralympic sport in Australia.

Swimming Australia is committed to helping everyone succeed in swimming. We’ve partnered with Paralympics Australia and other disability sporting organisations to create clear pathways for swimmers with disabilities, as recreational swimmers, competitive swimming at a local club or for Australia at international competition.

We are committed to inclusion, making our national swimming pathways accessible to people with disability. Our National Swimming Championships are integrated, meaning swimmers with and without disabilities compete at the same location to create an inclusive competitive environment.

Swimming Australia believes that every swimmer in Australia can access an environment that is welcoming, safe and inclusive.
