Legendary swim coach Andrew ‘Herbie’ Howard is most known for his work with Paralympian Grant ‘Scooter’ Patterson, which has lasted for 17 years.

Herbie coached Scooter through his success at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, where he brought home both a bronze and silver medal.

This year, Herbie was granted the opportunity to work with Scooter in the lead-up to the Paris Paralympics, hoping to help him continue his winning streak at the Paralympics.

In addition to working as a Paralympian-swimming coach, Herbie also works with Swimming Queensland’s disability, Indigenous and participation program, as well as working as Queensland’s para-swimming development officer.
