The Performance Pathways program is designed to support athletes, support staff and coaches across the Olympic Pool, Open Water and Paralympic disciplines.
The Performance Pathway process includes:
- The engagement of stakeholders to increase participation and create a strong foundation for the Performance Pathway in all three disciplines
- The identification of athletes, coaches and support staff with the potential to contribute to Olympic and Paralympic medal outcomes in Paris 2024, LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032
- The development of identified athletes, coaches and support staff with the knowledge, experiences, skills, techniques and competitive IQ to perform when it matters.
- The transition of athletes, coaches and support staff via specialised development experiences so they seamlessly step onto senior teams This is achieved through a series of performance designed initiatives to support and fast-track development of all and high levels of performance in and out of the water.
