Coach David Heyden has been the UQ Sport Head Swimming Coach for over ten years, winning Uni national’s championships and training Katja Dedekind to a bronze medal in the Women’s S13 100m Backstroke at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.

David will help coach young gun Jack Ireland who will be making his first Paralympic appearance in 2024.

David will look to bring his previous experience of coaching to help Jack bring home medals in the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
