Your coaching journey starts here.

To coach swimming on pool deck in Australia, it’s important that you hold your Australian Swim Coach Licence. To obtain your licence, you’ll need to:

• Complete a Swimming Australia approved pre-requisite course, and then.
• Complete the Development Coaching Course

The pre-requisite course is more than just a step into coaching – it’s your chance to build a strong foundation for success.

AMPD Academy

AMPD Academy is an award-winning Registered Training Organisation with a strong foundation in aquatic education and sports. Their pre-requisite course, Competitive Strokes Fundamentals, has been designed by experienced coaches for swimming teachers seeking to improve their knowledge in teaching higher levels of learn-to-swim, refine their technical skills, and prepare for the Swimming Australia National Coaching Framework pathway.
