Bio
Ben Hance made his Dolphin debut at the Tokyo Paralympic Games but it was Paris 2024 that Hance proved he was a force to be reckoned.
Sending a warning to his rivals, Hance broke his own men’s 100m backstroke S14 world record in the heats with a time of 56.52. Hance then went on to win back-to-back Paralympic gold in the event.
In Paris, Hance also won silver in the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay S14 alongside Ruby Storm, Madeleine McTernan and Jack Ireland.
At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, he won gold in the Men’s 100m Backstroke (S14), as well as bronze in the Men’s 100m Butterfly (S14). Across his two appearances at the World Para Swimming Championships Madeira 2022 and Manchester 2023, Hance won eight medals, including consecutive gold in the Men’s 100m Backstroke (S14). Hance has been selected to compete in the upcoming 2024 Paris Paralympics and is a rising star that shouldn’t be missed.
