Beecroft
Bio
Hailing from Traralgon in Victoria, Emily Beecroft has represented Australia for many years. At the Rio Paralympics in 2016, she finished fourth in the 50m freestyle (S9).
In the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, Beecroft and her team brought home a silver medal in the Women’s 4x100m Freestyle event, and a bronze medal in the Women’s 4x100m Medley. Two years later at the World Para Swimming Championships in Madeira, Beecroft was awarded three medals – a gold in the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay 34 pts, and silver in both the Women’s 100m Freestyle (S9) and Women’s 100m Butterfly (S9).
Beecroft went on to win another silver medal in the Women’s 100m Freestyle (S9) later that year at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in England, as well as a bronze medal in the Women’s 100m Butterfly (S9) at the 2023 World Para Swimming Championships in England.
The three time Paralympian won her first gold medal in Paris 2024. Racing with fellow Dolphins Jesse Aungles, Tim Hodge and Alexa Leary, Beecroft and the 34pt mixed medley relay team won in Paralympic record time (4:27.08). Beecroft also added to her tally with a bronze in the Women’s 100m Butterfly S9.
