Bio
In 2011, Greenwood acquired a brain injury as a result of two strokes caused by acute appendicitis and septic shock.
Beginning her swimming career at just 12 years old, Jasmine Greenwood first competed on the international stage at the 2017 IPC World Championships in Mexico.
At the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, she placed fifth in both the Women’s 100m Butterfly (S10) and Women’s 200m Individual Medley (SM10) as the youngest athlete to represent Australia. The following year, Greenwood won a bronze medal in the Women’s 100m Butterfly (S10) at the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships. At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, she won a silver medal in the same event.
She went on to win a silver and two bronze medals at the 2022 World Para Swimming Championships, and a gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Greenwood competed at her second Paralympics in Paris and finished fourth in the Women’s 100m Butterfly S10 event.
