Harley has plenty of experience having coached athletes to a gold medal at every international benchmark event since being named to his first Australian Para team in 2013.

Harley has been a member of multiple world championships, two Commonwealth games teams and two Paralympic campaigns. In the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, Harley coached Brendan Hall to the finals and Lakeshia Patterson to a gold medal in the women’s S9 400 metres freestyle.

In 2022, Harley was announced as the new Head Coach of the Paralympic Hub program at the University of the Sunshine Coast. .
