This course is the national entry point into the Swimming Australia National Coaching Framework (SANCF) and prepares you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to begin coaching safely and effectively.
Courses are delivered across Australia through a combination of online learning, and in-person practical workshops. With options available year-round, you can choose the location and date that best suits your schedule.

*To support current swim coaches to upskill to the minimum course requirement, Swimming Australia is offering 20% off all Development Coaching Course enrolments from Monday 17th December 2025 until Tuesday 31st March 2026. – To receive this discount, candidates must enrol before Tuesday 31st March and complete the course before December 2026. For example, a candidate can enrol into the course in February for a course taking place in July and still receive the discount.
Please note: Enrolments for all 2026 courses open on Monday 17 December 2025. Early enrolment is encouraged, as places often fill quickly.
