Advanced Endorsed Learning
Advanced endorsed learning is for Australian Licenced Swim Coaches who are ready to expand their knowledge and coach swimmers competing at a national level. These modules are separate from the Australian Swim Coach Course and are offered through SPLASH Hub as part of the ongoing learning pathway under the Swimming Australia National Coaching Framework (SANCF).
Modules
Advanced endorsed learning is for Australian Licenced Swim Coaches who are ready to expand their knowledge and coach swimmers competing at a national level. These modules are separate from the Australian Swim Coach Course and are offered through SPLASH Hub as part of the ongoing learning pathway under the Swimming Australia National Coaching Framework (SANCF).
Intakes:
There are two intakes per year (February and July). Coaches must submit an application by the advertised due date. Once approved, to simplify the learning process, swim coaches will receive access to the modules one block at a time. Each time a coach completes a module, completion will be recognised on their licence. Application can be made via Swim Central – Learning and Licencing.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply for the Advanced Endorsed Learning modules, coaches must use the online digital application form and:
- Hold a valid Australian Swim Coach Licence
- Meet all compliance requirements at the time of application
- Submit a letter of support from either:

- their employer,
- a club committee member, or
- their State Swimming Organisation
- Have coached at least one athlete to a national qualifying time (100m or longer) for any of the following Swimming Australia competitions (able-bodied or multi-class):

- Australian Age Championships
- Australian Open
- Australian Short Course Championships
- Australian Open Water Swimming Championships (Age or Open)
- Australian Swimming Trials
Module Structure
Advanced Endorsed Learning includes:
E-Learning (via SPLASH Hub):
- Six blocks of Advanced e-learning modules
- Each block must be completed before unlocking the next
Face-to-Face Workshops:
- One workshop per module block
- $100 per workshop (total $400 for all Advanced workshops)
- Delivered around National events where possible to reduce travel costs
- E-learning for the same topic must be completed prior to attending the workshop
Certification
After completing each face-to-face workshop, coaches receive a digital certificate, and licence recognition to demonstrate competence and understanding of the topic.
Achieving Advanced Endorsement
Coaches will receive the Advanced Endorsement on their Australian Swim Coach Licence when they have:
- Completed all six Advanced e-learning modules
- Completed all associated Advanced face-to-face workshops
- Coached at least six athletes to any combination of the national events listed above
This endorsement formally recognises a coach’s expanded capability and demonstrated performance within national-level environments.
Performance endorsed learning is for Australian Licenced Swim Coaches who are coaching swimmers at the highest levels of domestic competition and preparing athletes for Open-level national and international pathways. These modules are separate from the Australian Swim Coach Course and are offered through SPLASH Hub as part of the ongoing learning pathway under the Swimming Australia National Coaching Framework (SANCF).
